Art Month Sydney 2010 is ‘drawing’ to a close, however there is still plenty to see and do over the next couple of weeks, including the Art Month Sydney Art Classes.
This Wednesday 24 March, Artist Paul Jackson will lead a class in the use of grisaille – a 16th Century technique for which Paul is well known – in painting the human head.
Paul will guide participants through the system of painting, using himself as the model. The class will be held at the Boutwell Draper Gallery in Redfern from 11am – 1:30pm.
If you’re not able to make tomorrow’s workshop, you can catch ‘Investigating Structure & Colour’ with Artist Rae Bolotin, which will use sculptures to develop a series of colour drawings exploring form and representation.
This class will be held at the Sofitel Wentworth, where Rae Bolotin’s work is currently on display, and will run from 12 – 1:30pm on Wednesday 31 March.
Both classes include use of all equipment including Winsor & Newton fine art materials.
Art Month Sydney and habitusliving.com are giving readers the chance to win a free ticket to each of these classes. The first two people to email [email protected] and quote habitusliving.com will get a free place at one of the classes. If you miss out, you can still secure your place by emailing.
