B&B Italia Outdoor’s new showroom in Surry Hills is a landmark space marking Space Furniture’s enduring partnership of over 30 years with the brand, a global leader in contemporary furniture design. B&B Italia Outdoor has been redefining outdoor living for over five decades, blending the sophistication and comfort of indoor furniture with contemporary exterior spaces.
B&B Italia’s headquarters in Novedrate (Como) was designed in 1971 by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers. The Group has a total of 700 employees and a presence in more than 80 countries, while the outdoor division launched in 1975 through Compagnia delle Filippine, in collaboration with longtime partners Afra and Tobia Scarpa.
Space Furniture’s longstanding collaboration with B&B Italia reflects their shared commitment to innovation, quality and timeless design. Built on a foundation of mutual trust, this partnership has spanned over 30 years, consistently pushing the boundaries of contemporary furniture and the business of design. Together, the brands have created inspiring retail spaces, private residences and commercial projects.
This project is now notable as the world’s first standalone B&B Italia Outdoor showroom, providing a curated experience as well as highlighting the breadth and depth of B&B Italia’s Outdoor Collection in a thoughtfully crafted retail space.
The opening was celebrated with an event in Surry Hills on Thursday 26th June, 2025.
