These Crystalline Silica-Free Benchtops are changing the face of kitchen design

Caesarstone’s new Mineral Crystalline Silica-Free surfaces set a new benchmark in style,
safety and sustainability.

Since Australia banned engineered stone in July of this year, architects, designers and design enthusiasts alike have been left to find safer alternatives for creating their dream kitchens. Global surfaces leader Caesarstone has answered these calls, pioneering the Crystalline Silica-Free revolution with a new range that combines design and performance for beautiful, safe, and functional surface solutions.

Their newly evolved Mineral collection is a suite of 33 colours inspired by nature, with options drawn from marble, stone, and industrial geologic forms. While the hues and textures are typical of Caesarstone’s archival ranges, the materiality is entirely new, with a composition composed of unique minerals and recycled materials (such as glass developed especially for this use). Their cutting-edge technology harnesses these materials, creating a synergetic effect that forms a high-performance surface perfect for kitchen benchtops, splashbacks, bathrooms, and laundries.

The result is a surface that is world class. Like all of Caesarstone’s products, it’s resistant to scratches, stains, heat and impact, as well as being non porous, durable, and easy to clean. However, thanks to pioneering expertise and advanced technology, the collection is also compliant with government regulations, prioritising safety and sustainability along with the beauty of stone-inspired surfaces.

From a design perspective, picture earthy hues and luxury marbling, with a range of options that look like they’ve been carved straight from an Italian quarry. The suite of designs vary in colours and textures, suiting all kinds of aesthetics and lending themselves to kitchens and wet spaces of every different design typology. Different finishes in Polished, Honed, Natural, Concrete, and Rough span a spectrum from sleek and lustrous, to organic and raw, with each option protecting the beauty and durability of the surface without the need for sealants or wax.

Our pick of the collection is the green marbled Arabetto (5171) and the luminous Brillianza (5310). A dramatic composition, Arabetto features a warm white base interspersed with rich veins in shades of emerald and moss, while Brillianza is a complex pastiche of frosty white veins and powder-peach mineral accents with a natural lustre that changes throughout the day. Available in a polished finish, both are subtly incandescent, bringing an elegance to kitchen islands, benchtops, bathroom features, or even laundry splashbacks.

The Mineral collection is a testament to Caesarstone’s commitment to the safety and well-being of their workforce, and their position as a global market leader. By continuously investing in research and development, they have been able to transition their most loved designs to crystalline silica-free alternatives, with the full range able to be shopped by the end of 2024. Not only this, but the shift to recycled materials means that Caesarstone has been able to reduce the wholesale prices of all Mineral surface designs, offering even greater value with the assurance of a lifetime warranty.
