Gaggenau Kitchen of the Year 2025: Celebrating the best in culinary design

Gaggenau

Gaggenau Kitchen of the Year returns in 2025, honouring exceptional designs that elevate the art of kitchen design, with entries now open.

The return of Gaggenau Kitchen of the Year heralds an occasion for the architectural and design fraternity of Australia and New Zealand. Now in its third iteration, the contest invites designers, builders and developers to create luxury culinary spaces that prioritise sustainability and innovation. In keeping with Gaggenau’s revered legacy, entrants are tasked with creating environments where state-of-the-art technology is mutually integrated and celebrated as an intrinsic component of the design.

“Gaggenau’s legacy has always been deeply intertwined with enduring craftsmanship and visionary design,” says Olya Yemchenko, Senior Brand Manager at Gaggenau. “Our relentless pursuit of design excellence and functional longevity is reflected in every project we support.”

An illustrious jury, comprising luminaries such as Eva-Marie Prineas of Studio Prineas, Richard Archer of Archer Design and Sue Carr of Carr Design, will adjudicate the submissions. Their evaluation will pivot on originality, client responsiveness, user-centred design, execution quality and, of course, the integration of Gaggenau’s advanced appliances.

The competition is bifurcated into two distinct categories — Luxury Home and Multi-Residential. The laureate of the contest will be rewarded with an exclusive, all-expenses-paid journey to Salone del Mobile in Milan, 2026.
