The 'Future' Issue

Habitus #64 Welcome to the HABITUS ‘Future’ and ‘Habitus House of the Year’ Issue. We are thrilled to have interior designer of excellence, Brahman Perera, as Guest Editor and to celebrate his Sri Lankan heritage through an interview with Palinda Kannangara and his extraordinary Ek Onkar project – divine! Thinking about the future, we look at the technology shaping our approach to sustainability and the ways traditional materials are enjoying a new-found place in the spotlight. INDE.Awards 2026 Entries Extended!

Entries for the 2026 INDE.Awards have officially been extended until 2nd April.

Due to high demand, entries for this year’s INDE.Awards have officially been extended until the 2nd April 2026. This deadline extension offers a valuable opportunity for practices to bring forward their best work. Hundreds of entries across emerging studios to established leaders across the Indo-Pacific having already been received. The response so far reflects the depth, diversity and strength of design in our region.

This extension offers a valuable opportunity to review your projects, secure final imagery and bring together the strongest possible submission. Whether you’re putting the finishing touches on your submission or you’re yet to start your entry, now is the time to act.

As the most prestigious architecture and design awards program in the Indo-Pacific, the INDE.Awards represents a powerful collective of voices. Celebrating its 10th year in 2026, the INDE.Awards program has continually celebrated the depth, diversity and innovation of our region,  showcasing the practices and projects that continue to shape our built environment and position the Indo-Pacific as a global leader in design.

The INDE.Awards is more than a program – it is a platform for recognition, connection and elevation. It is where emerging voices stand alongside established practices, and where ideas, innovation and impact are brought to the forefront of an international audience.

We are proud to continue this legacy in 2026 and to champion the work that defines our region.

If you’ve been considering entering, or simply needed a little more time, this is your moment. Submit your entry before 2 April and be part of the 2026 INDE.Awards.
