Kitchen & Bathroom Issue

Kitchens and bathrooms are, arguably, the most consequential rooms in the home — and almost always the first to be considered. Whether approached through renovation or new build, their design has the power to recalibrate how a home is lived in and experienced. For this issue, our guest editor, Mardi Doherty, principal of Studio Doherty, explores what it truly means to transform these pivotal spaces — and why thoughtful design in kitchens and bathrooms delivers dividends far beyond the purely functional. Her insights both as an architect and as her own client give an open and honest account of the thinking behind creating a home.

Inviting the outdoors inside: Talenti Home is grows a beloved design lexicon

Fusing the codes of indoor and outdoor living, Talenti Home brings a legacy of outdoor design nous inside, where new materiality, finishes and elegant proportions expand Talenti’s distinct, crafted aesthetic.

Beyond a design trend, the desire to blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living has become an inherent human necessity. Whether at home or work, this fluid connection between spaces, alongside a craving for natural light and fresh air, holds court at the heart of a clear mind and a content circadian rhythm. However, whether we actually embrace this small but impactful shift between modes has much to do with aesthetics and physical comfort — as such, furniture holds the key to this desired elasticity.

Heeding this call with over two decades of outdoor living design experience, Talenti now brings their c with the launch of Talenti Home, a new interior design collection. For the internationally renowned brand, the interior collection is not an addition, instead it represents an evolution. “After years of experience and leadership in outdoor design, we naturally felt the need to extend our know-how into interior spaces as well, maintaining the same design quality, comfort and attention to everyday living,” Fabrizio Cameli, CEO and founder of Talenti, says.

Launched at Salone del Mobile 2026, the collection is signed by designers Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba. Together with Talenti, they envisioned a collection that could retain the modularity and personality of well-loved models while incorporating diverse design accents that expand upon Talenti’s bold aesthetics and elegant sense of proportion—essentially, welcoming new members into a cohesive family.

Material research, renewed proportions and finishes are deftly woven into the design strategy’s reinterpretation of iconic models. The Panama collection’s architectural form is maintained across exterior and interior collections; however, materiality shifts to soft leathers and velvets, bringing a warmth to the indoor pieces, complementing the curvature of new armchairs, including Freddie and Grace. The tailored elegance of Salinas’ carved form morphs from the durable outdoor materiality, including teak, to the indoor collection through fluid lines and refined finishes, such as lacquer, marble and timber veneer.

Showcasing a chameleon-like adaptability, the Talenti design language diffuses seamlessly between external and interior living with this new collection. Allowing interior designers and clients to build on the bones of high-quality design, customisation is prioritised. Reconfigurable elements and over 300 fabrics mean that the Talenti Home collection not only traverses indoor and outdoor contexts, but also modifies to a designer’s distinctive project vision.

“With Talenti Home, we worked to create a design that is elegant and comfortable, but above all, capable of generating emotions. Today, living is fluid: spaces contaminate one another, functions overlap, and indoor and outdoor increasingly share common values,” the designers explain with a nod to Palomba-Serafini’s strong emphasis on promoting longevity of function and wellbeing through design.

Like a translator uniting outdoor and interior design codes, Talenti Home shares a story of comfort and sophistication, embedded through furniture: whether laid upon, nestled within or conversed around — inside and out.
