Living in the Environment Issue

Issue 62 is the first issue of the year and always a great time to put our best foot forward. With Adam Goodrum, the loveliest man in design, as Guest Editor, we draw on his insights as a furniture designer, artist and educator to look at the makers shaping our design world. Sustainability has never been more important, and increasingly this is a consideration from the start with projects designed to address their immediate environment as well as the longevity of the planet. From the coldest winters to the most tropical of summers, addressing how we live in the environment is crucial to creating the perfect home.

Sportscraft collaborates with artist Shilo Engelbrecht

Sportscraft has collaborated with artist Shilo Engelbrecht on a limited edition collection of beach essentials, inspired by our nation’s coastal landscape.

The collection appears in Shilo’s signature vibrant paint strokes, complimenting the season with fresh tones of blue and white, paired back with vibrant red and pinks.

“My painting interprets Australian coastal nature and the energy of the seaside. I’m always moved by the landscape of our beaches and wanted to capture the wind, surf and light,” says Engelbrecht.

Specially curated with Australian beach goers in mind, the collection consist of a hand-made summer hat, board shorts for men, sarong, beach bag and umbrella, and sunscreen by skincare brand Milk.
