The 'Bespoke' Issue

With Guest Editor Yasmine Ghoniem, we are launched headfirst into the world of unique and eclectic design. From architecture to interiors, there is nothing that can’t be enlivened with bespoke interventions. Granted, a stunningly beautiful home can be made by simply shopping for the best, but when the artist’s hand is introduced, some pure magic is possible. Whether it is an artwork or a new upholstery, a built-in component or a mosaic inlay, these gestures, whether bold or subtle, are what make the home unique.

Perfectly pitched for harmony in nature

We turn to nature for splendour, serenity and feeling at one with the world around us. The design of Talenti Spa outdoor furnishings is attuned to these experiences with forms, textures and artistry that embodies both luxury and simplicity.

The new Elton Collection by Ludovica Serafini + Roberto Palomba enhances the perception of harmony and strikes a sophisticated new note. Like a musical composition, it balances rhythm and harmony, lightness and intensity.

The modular seating design merges aesthetics with innovation, with a new technology that enables the backrests and armrests of sofas to become tiltable. This is a breakthrough, allowing seating to be configured to respond to the moment and complement the individual senses of comfort and relaxation.

“The Elton project for Talenti was born from the idea of working on comfort as a dynamic, evolving experience, never static,” explain leading designers Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba.

“Elton is, fundamentally, a sofa with a mechanism: a variable system that speaks of design, form, simplicity and attention to detail, but above all of a clear idea, to create an object capable of adapting to the different positions assumed when using the sofa.

“This is the first time that a mechanism of this type has been applied to an outdoor sofa: the innovation of the project lies precisely in introducing a new way of thinking about how the outdoor environment has changed and evolved, seeking solutions that offer the same functional and aesthetic value as indoor furniture, with a more sophisticated and conscious use of the object.”

The collection also celebrates and draws influence from the talents and charisma of the musician, Elton John. His legend was forged through the combination of passion and elegance and his strong, distinctive and unique personality.

The Collection echoes these qualities, with soft lines, refined fabrics and glamorous details that evoke the air of a film set or album cover, while still retaining the comfort and durability we seek for our patios, balconies, al fresco dining areas or conversation zones.

The inviting and organic form of the cushions is complemented by the natural charm of Accoya timber bases, which appear to float above the ground due to the exquisite design. The timber is known for its resilience in outdoor settings and its exemplary sustainability credentials. The cushions of the Elton Collection are available in a range of colours ranging from neutral tones to bold ochres and blues, suiting a diversity of tastes and architectural themes.

To complete the outdoor living picture, coffee tables in Accoya feature back-painted glass tops in choices of milk-white, orange or blue. This is a new material in the Talenti Spa universe, and brings a further enhancement of the reputation for inventive, beautiful and distinctive Italisn design and craftsmanship.

Settings can also be enhanced with the dining and living area seating from the Claude line, with their timeless painted aluminium legs in mokka or warm white.

As a whole, the Elton Collection extends Talenti’s exceptional gift for seamlessly connecting indoor comfort and aesthetics with luxurious, modular and adaptable furnishings that elevate the experience of outdoor living.
