We are thrilled to have interior designer of excellence, Brahman Perera, as Guest Editor and to celebrate his Sri Lankan heritage through an interview with Palinda Kannangara and his extraordinary Ek Onkar project – divine! Thinking about the future, we look at the technology shaping our approach to sustainability and the ways traditional materials are enjoying a new-found place in the spotlight. Now in its fifth year, Habitus House of the Year is an annual showcase of the most inspirational, innovative and sustainable homes from around the Indo-Pacific region. Fuelled from the stories covered throughout the year, each house in the 2022 Selection was chosen by the editorial board, while a winner has been selected with the help of a jury panel.

They all offer something unique and highlight what it means to live in design in this part of the world, but we want to know which one is YOUR favourite!

Previously the editor of Habitus and Indesignlive, she has written and contributed to various publications and brands in the architecture and design industry, bringing intimate insight to her stories having first trained and practised as an interior designer.
