Richmond is one of three design precincts at this year’s design extravaganza in Melbourne. The others are located in Collingwood and CBD-South Melbourne, but for now, here’s how the Richmond Saturday Indesign program unfolds across morning, afternoon and evening.
Morning begins with hospitality offerings designed to set the tone. King Living serves croissants from Lune with coffee from 9am, while Winnings hosts a designer-focused breakfast alongside iced matcha and fresh tulips for early arrivals. LightCo and Living Edge also open their doors with barista coffee, and Tongue & Groove offers coffee and colourful macarons. At the same time, Baya presents a morning talk on design insights from Copenhagen, followed by Designer Rugs’ panel on the role of colour, and Arthur G’s ‘Storytelling in Colour’ discussion. Hali Rugs launches its Icons II collection with pastries by Tarts Anon, while Havwoods debuts its latest timber innovations.
Late morning into the afternoon sees product launches and further activations. Baya unveils its Summer 2025–26 collection in two sessions, while Tongue & Groove presents its new ‘Wall to Wall’ collaboration with Raw Edges. Jardan introduces its Bureau collection with an accompanying talk on workplace culture, while Arthur G reveals a refreshed showroom and collection. Harbrodebuts ‘Custom Comfort’ and DECO displays its latest cladding profiles alongside Dulux-inspired palettes. The Design Precinctitself becomes a stage for the first international viewing of Figura Tapware, plus installations by Nathalie Du Pasquier as well as Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. Cosh Living’s rooftop launch of Kett and Tribù outdoor pieces is paired with their ‘Upcycle Studio.’

From lunchtime onwards, hospitality and entertainment shape the precinct’s social atmosphere. Arthur G hosts a DJ set from Prequel, Jardan welcomes DJ Small Fry, and Winnings stages its block party and mainstage concert finale. Food and drink activations are also plentiful: Arthur G’s Margarita Bar, Spanish paella and churros at the Design Precinct, curated cocktails from Vintec and AEG, aperitivo at Baya and Tongue & Groove, gin tasting at Harbro, golden-hour wines at LightCo and gelato at Living Edge. Winnings layers on more experiences with Italian food by Smeg and Freddy’s, oysters with Fisher & Paykel, and a wine and cheese pairing with Liebherr.
Throughout the day, visitors can explore Klaro’s multisensory ‘Midnight Bloom’ installation, Living Edge’s Milan Design Week highlights and ‘Unleashed Potential’ challenge, and V-ZUG’s collaboration with Whitehouse Institute of Design. Giveaways add further energy: Top3 by Design offers portable lights and a luxury escape, Hali Rugs hosts a $5,000 competition, and Arthur G, DECO, Havwoods, Jardan and Winnings each provide exclusive prize draws.
With every Richmond exhibitor contributing – from furniture and lighting to surfaces, kitchens and rugs – the precinct promises a program that balances serious design discussion with hospitality and entertainment. It’s a concentrated showcase of Australian and international design culture, unfolding across one dynamic day.

Hop-on, hop-off buses will be running throughout the day. Local loop shuttles will run in a continuous loop within each precinct while precinct-to-precinct buses allow you to travel between the different precincts.
