The Life Outside Issue

Introducing the Life Outside issue of Habitus magazine. With life increasingly being absorbed into a digital space, there is never a more important moment to hold something tangible. In this context, the power of nature to have a physiological impact on our sense of wellbeing has never been more important. So how can we cultivate the benefits of the our natural environment in the most intimate of places – our homes? This was the question that helped to bring this issue of Habitus to life.

Longrain Bar and Shortgrain Opening

The highly successful Longrain celebrates their expansion and opening of the new Shortgrain Canteen and Shop.

The Thai-inspired offerings of Longrain have made it one of Sydney’s most successful restaurants for over 10 years now; so they thought it was about time they shook things up a bit.

Last week the restaurant celebrated their expansion into the downstairs space of their Surry Hills converted warehouse location. There is now a new bar area in this downstairs space, and upstairs new booths and individual tables of 5-10 have been added (along with the option to book – a first for Longrain).

Perhaps most exciting though is the opening of the new Shortgrain Canteen and Shop, located on Hunt Street across from the Hollywood Hotel. Serving light lunches and with seating for 18, this new offering also features a street-front store where you can buy Asian produce.

Get down and check it out if you’re in the ‘hood!
