Conceived by Mumbai-based design studio PS Design as a reflection of its owners’ desire for originality, the 300-square-metre apartment balances architectural clarity with moments of delight, resulting in an environment that feels both sophisticated and intimately connected to those it was made for.
Originally configured as a five-bedroom apartment, the residence was reimagined as a more generous four-bedroom home. This strategic intervention allowed the interiors to breathe, creating a series of fluid, interconnected spaces enriched by bespoke details and unexpected design gestures.

“The home is bespoke in many ways. Our clients value design – they weren’t looking to replicate a trend, but instead sought something authentic. They had a clear vision and gave us ample time to develop the design plan. What we achieved is a true reflection of their personality,” says Piyush Mehra, Co-Founder of PS Design Studio.
The home begins within an elongated and curved entry hall that serves as a dramatic threshold between the public and private realms of the home. Clad in finely crafted timber battens that extend seamlessly across walls and ceiling, the entry sequence is distinguished by softly curved corners that dissolve conventional boundaries. The effect is immersive and sculptural, transforming the foyer into an architectural experience. Concealed discreetly within the louvred surfaces are the powder room and kitchen, preserving the visual continuity and calm restraint of the arrival space.

Beyond, the apartment unfolds into a series of interconnected living zones. To one side lies the living room; to the other, the dining space. A palette of warm timber and crisp white establishes a calm foundation, allowing carefully selected artworks, textiles and furnishings to introduce layers of colour and personality.
The living room itself is organised into two distinct yet complementary settings. A formal lounge anchored by a generous L-shaped sofa transitions into a relaxed television area, while a vaulted ceiling amplifies the sense of volume and openness. A strategically positioned column of stacked stones references traditional architectural forms while introducing a handmade craft element. Throughout, curved furniture profiles and circular tables soften the composition, while richly veined marble flooring introduces a quiet luxury.

Within the dining area, a sculptural pendant light acts as both illumination and artwork. Its presence brings visual drama to the otherwise restrained material palette, reinforcing the home’s commitment to balancing elegance with expression.
Extending from the living space, a balcony and adjoining den offer additional layers of functionality. Separated by a glass sliding partition, the spaces can operate independently or merge seamlessly when entertaining. The den adopts a markedly different atmosphere. Wrapped in deep grey tones and articulated by fluted wall panelling, it is conceived as an immersive retreat where texture and shadow create a sense of intimacy. A vivid fuchsia alcove introduces an unexpected burst of colour, framing a bespoke bar whose resin-embedded compartments display fruits, spices, herbs and wine corks as curated objects. Here, utility becomes installation, transforming everyday rituals into fun visual engagement.

The children’s bedroom embraces a playful language, where geometric forms and vibrant colours encourage creativity and interaction. A custom bunk bed and integrated study area maximise functionality, while an adjoining Lego-inspired bathroom introduces an imaginative layer tailored specifically to its young occupants.
Throughout the residence, architectural discipline is balanced by warmth, character and individuality that tells the story of those who live within.
