Three decades after first establishing its presence in Australia, Poliform is celebrating a defining milestone with the unveiling of its newly transformed Sydney showroom. The occasion was marked by the visit of Gaia Spinelli, Global Head of Sales & Marketing and a second-generation member of the Poliform family, who joined the Australian team to unveil the reimagined space and celebrate the brand’s 30-year journey in Australia.
More than an anniversary, the opening signals a new chapter for the Italian design brand, as the Alexandria showroom becomes the first in the world to embody the architectural vision established by Poliform’s flagship in Milan. Since arriving in Australia in 1996 through its enduring partnership with Space Furniture, Poliform has become an integral part of the country’s design landscape, establishing showrooms across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

The Sydney showroom, originally opened in 2011, has long served as a destination for architects, designers and discerning homeowners. Its latest transformation reaffirms Australia’s place at the forefront of the brand’s global retail strategy. Located within Alexandria’s vibrant design precinct, the 1,100-square-metre showroom has been completely reimagined as an immersive residential experience. Drawing directly from the design language of the Milan flagship, the space introduces a refined spatial rhythm that will inform the future direction of Poliform showrooms worldwide. Visitors are guided through a carefully choreographed journey that reflects the rituals of contemporary living.

The experience begins in the living room, where the Bristol and Ernest modular seating systems are paired with the sculptural St. Germain sofa to create spaces that feel both generous and intimate. From here, the narrative unfolds into an expansive kitchen environment featuring Phoenix, Shape and Artex Pro compositions, showcasing Poliform’s mastery of sculptural joinery and multifunctional living. A dedicated Alea Pro wet kitchen sits discreetly beyond, separated by the brand’s Architectural System. The private spaces continue this residential story through three distinctive bedroom suites centred on the Kelly, Brera and Rever beds, complemented by sophisticated wardrobe systems and integrated furnishings that demonstrate Poliform’s holistic approach to interior architecture.
At the heart of the showroom, two lounge settings divided by the Wall System bookcase reveal the versatility of the Brera and Joan sofas, while outdoor living is expressed through settings from the Magnolia collection. The transformation also provides the setting for Poliform’s latest collection, unveiled during Milan Design Week, bringing the brand’s newest designs to Australian audiences within an environment conceived to express its future global identity.

As Poliform celebrates 30 years in Australia, the new Sydney showroom stands as both a reflection of the brand’s enduring legacy and an expression of what’s to come. Moreover, as the first showroom worldwide to adopt the new Milan design concept, it establishes a benchmark not only for Australia but for the future of Poliform internationally — making this anniversary as much about looking forward as it is about celebrating the past.
