The 'Bespoke' Issue

With Guest Editor Yasmine Ghoniem, we are launched headfirst into the world of unique and eclectic design. From architecture to interiors, there is nothing that can’t be enlivened with bespoke interventions. Granted, a stunningly beautiful home can be made by simply shopping for the best, but when the artist’s hand is introduced, some pure magic is possible. Whether it is an artwork or a new upholstery, a built-in component or a mosaic inlay, these gestures, whether bold or subtle, are what make the home unique.

Winnings x Habitus House of the Year 2025: The first shortlist drop is here!

We’ll be revealing this year’s full shortlist of 26 projects for Habitus House of the Year over four drops – and here is your first set, announcing seven nominated projects.

The 2025 Winnings x Habitus House of the Year program is officially underway, and we’re thrilled to unveil the first selection from this year’s shortlist. In partnership with Winnings, alongside Rogerseller and Billi, we’ve assembled an outstanding jury of industry leaders to evaluate 26 residential projects across Australia and the Indo-Pacific region.

This year’s extensive jury – featuring Albert Mo, Alie Whelan, Amelia Borg, Ben Peake, Bradley Kerr, Brahman Perera, Gillian Serisier, Jean Graham, Lachlan Seegers, Mardi Doherty, Mark Austin, Phillip Withers, Sally Knibbs, Timothy Alouani-Roby and Tim Jackson – will convene at Winnings’ Richmond showroom in Melbourne for an intensive judging day, deliberating to select the ultimate winner.

Now, let us introduce the first seven projects vying for the title of 2025 Winnings x Habitus House of the Year!
